A New Start

I'm not a big fan of President-elect Obama. That's putting it mildly. I think his policies are wrong, and quite frankly, I don't trust him. But he is going to be President, and so it is our duty to give him our loyalty and to proceed forward. It is also in the best interest of our country that all fears are proven wrong, and at this time of difficulty we progress forward.

That being said, it is my greatest desire to see the Republican party regroup its strength and take back this country by storm. The defeatist views on war, along with the socialist ideals towards our economy, are anything but what I want to see swarm over this great nation. Without doubt, some Republicans have strayed from their core values. Fiscal conservatism, strong foreign policy, and strong moral principles are their halmark and what makes them the party of the people. Perhaps the thought of winning approval from the vastly liberal media was attracting to some, thinking that giving ground to traditionally traitorous political party demonstrated the right tone of openness that would quite their critics. Unfortunately, such critics are never silenced despite whatever measures of cooperation are taken. It is time for the Republicans to stop apologizing for being Republicans, and to start demonstrating how their policies and values are the only way for America to succeed.

I look forward to the next four years, to seeing how my party begins rebuilding itself and taking back this country. I know that they can do it, and I look forward to helping in whatever way I can.
